The Project Manager is responsible for leading the successful design, procurement, construction, testing, commissioning, and handover of the Foul Treatment Plant (FTP) and Potable Water Plant (PWP) at Sizewell C Nuclear Power Station.

Working within a highly regulated environment, the Project Manager will coordinate multidisciplinary teams including engineering consultants, construction contractors, commissioning specialists, supply chain partners, regulators, environmental stakeholders, and client representatives. The role is critical in ensuring the facility is delivered to support site operations while meeting the stringent safety, quality, and environmental expectations associated with a UK nuclear licensed site.

The role briefly encompasses the following duties but is not limited to:

  • Leading the delivery of major water treatment infrastructure projects from concept through to completion.
  • Managing project budgets, schedules, risks, and commercial performance.
  • Coordinating multidisciplinary teams, contractors, consultants, and stakeholders.
  • Ensuring compliance with nuclear, environmental, quality, and health & safety requirements.
  • Overseeing design development, procurement, construction, and commissioning activities.
  • Producing project reports, forecasts, and governance updates for senior stakeholders.
  • Supporting the achievement of critical programme milestones across the wider Sizewell C project.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills/experience/attributes:

  • Experience: Minimum 5 years' project management experience within utilities, water, infrastructure, energy, or major construction projects.
  • Project Delivery: Proven track record of delivering design-and-build projects valued at £10m+ through to commissioning and handover.
  • Qualifications: APM, PRINCE2, or equivalent project management qualification.
  • Professional Membership: Chartered status, or working towards chartership, with a recognised professional institution.
  • Health & Safety: IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent.
  • Leadership: Strong stakeholder management, communication, and team leadership skills.
  • Desirable: Nuclear industry experience, wastewater treatment experience, or experience working on major regulated infrastructure programmes.
