Role Description
The Project Manager Civil Engineering role is a full-time, on-site position based in Sheffield. In this role, the Project Manager will oversee civil engineering and infrastructure projects from planning through completion, ensuring work is delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.

- Coordinating design and construction activities
- Managing project schedules and resources
- Monitoring progress against milestones
- Preparing project reports and documentation
The role involves collaborating with engineers, contractors, clients, and regulatory bodies, addressing risks and issues, and ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards. The Project Manager will also support contract administration, cost control, and stakeholder communication to ensure successful project outcomes.
Qualifications
- Strong Project Management skills, including planning, scheduling, risk management, and stakeholder coordination.
- Proficiency in Civil Engineering and Infrastructure project delivery, with experience in design review and site activities.
- Construction Management capabilities, including contractor oversight, quality assurance, and health and safety compliance.
- Budgeting skills, with experience in cost estimation, financial tracking, and variance analysis.
- Relevant degree or equivalent qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Experience managing multi-disciplinary teams and working with external partners and regulatory authorities.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make informed decisions under time constraints.
- Proficiency with project management and engineering software; familiarity with UK construction standards and regulations is an advantage.
