Teamforce Labour are currently looking for an experienced Project Manager to join our client on a permanent basis in Acton, West London.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering and groundworks, with good knowledge of drainage, utilities and general civils construction. You will be responsible for managing projects from planning through to completion, ensuring they are delivered safely, on time and within budget.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Overall management and delivery of civils and infrastructure projects.
  • Planning, organising and coordinating site activities from commencement through to completion.
  • Managing site teams, subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Ensuring works are delivered to programme, budget and the required quality standards.
  • Strong understanding of drainage, excavation, groundworks, utilities and associated civils works.
  • Reviewing drawings, specifications and project requirements.
  • Coordinating with clients, consultants, engineers and other project stakeholders.
  • Monitoring project progress and providing regular updates to senior management and clients.
  • Managing project costs, budgets and resources.
  • Ensuring all works are carried out in accordance with RAMS, health & safety and environmental requirements.
  • Identifying and managing project risks, issues and changes.
  • Ensuring the required project documentation and records are maintained.
  • Attending progress meetings and liaising with the client and project team.
  • Managing quality control and ensuring works are completed to specification.
  • Supporting the commercial team with variations, valuations and cost control where required.
  • Driving a positive health and safety culture across the project.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Project Manager within civil engineering/construction.
  • Strong knowledge of civils, drainage and groundworks.
  • Experience managing projects, site teams and subcontractors.
  • Ability to read and understand construction drawings and specifications.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Good understanding of health & safety requirements within construction.
  • Relevant construction qualifications such as SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid are desirable.
  • Civil engineering qualification or equivalent experience would be advantageous.
