Project Manager - Claims Modernisation
Salary: £75,000 - £85,000
Location: 3 days per week in London
Joining a claims transformation project with an established Specialist Insurer, you will be responsible for leading the end-to-end delivery of a major claims modernisation initiative, managing multiple workstreams and stakeholders across both business and technology functions.
You'll play a key role in driving the successful upgrade and enhancement of a legacy claims system, ensuring delivery aligns with business objectives whilst supporting the organisation's broader transformation agenda.
Given the business is continuing its Agile maturity journey, you'll also help embed Agile delivery practices and drive a collaborative, outcome-focused project environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of a strategic claims transformation and modernisation programme.
- Manage the upgrade and enhancement of a core legacy claims platform.
- Oversee project budgets ranging from £3m to £6m and ensure delivery against agreed timelines and objectives.
- Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders across claims, operations, technology and executive leadership teams.
- Manage third-party vendors and delivery partners where applicable.
- Drive programme governance, reporting, risk management and project controls.
- Promote and implement Agile delivery principles whilst helping improve delivery maturity across the organisation.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure successful business and technology outcomes.

Requirements
- Proven experience as a Project Manager within the specialist insurance market. This is non-negotiable.
- Demonstrable experience delivering claims transformation or claims modernisation programmes.
- Strong background managing technology-enabled business change and legacy system upgrades.
- Experience leading projects with budgets between £3m and £6m.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence at senior leadership level.
- Good understanding of technology delivery, system implementation and software development lifecycles.
- Experience delivering projects using Agile methodologies and helping organisations improve Agile maturity.
- Strong governance, risk management and programme reporting experience.
