We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Project Manager – Client Connectivity for a secondment for 12 months
Join HSBC’s Global Payment Solutions (GPS) as Project Manager, Client Implementation, within our Client Connectivity team. At HSBC, our GPS Client Connectivity team is dedicated to enhancing client experiences and driving growth through seamlessly onboarding cutting-edge Global Payments and Liquidity Solutions.
As Project Manager in Client Connectivity, you will be key to shaping global and local client relationships by managing multiple payments and liquidity projects to successful completion. You’ll be at forefront of onboarding clients onto our channels and solutions, ensuring seamless transitions, driving satisfaction, and will relationship manager several top tier clients.

In this role you’ll:
- Support pre-mandate and RFI/RFP consultation and project management expertise for our diverse client base, utilising your knowledge of Payments, Liquidity, ERP and Regulatory Solutions.
- Employ proactive project management methodologies and utilise our scalable organisation designs to manage multiple client projects effectively.
- Take ownership of client relationships post-sales, leading client communication throughout the project, leading client communication throughout the project lifecycle and beyond.
- Serve as a central liaison between internal and external stakeholders across multiple regions, effectively communicating with senior stakeholders.
- Ensure every client is able to operate their accounts and services as expected, and project expectations are met.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance our Net Promoter Score, providing feedback to Product to improve client experience.
- Collaborate with cross functional teams globally, including Legal, Operations, IT, Sales and Product to optimise internal processes and project delivery.
Requirements
To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:
- Excellent communication and influencing skills
- Extensive experience in building effective client relationships and stakeholder management
- Previous project management experience and/or qualifications
- Familiarity with design thinking principles
- Ability to manage competing deadlines effectively and in real time
- Proven ability to excel under pressure and drive strategic initiatives forward
- Proficiency in payments and liquidity product knowledge

London Office Relocation
Between January and April 2027, many office-based HSBC employees in London will move from either 8 Canada Square or Queen Victoria Street to one of our new sites at St. Paul’s or Canary Wharf. Depending on when they join, successful candidates may start at an existing office before moving or join directly at a new location. The specific location cannot be confirmed at advert stage and will be discussed during the recruitment process. This does not apply to branch-based or HSBC Innovation Bank roles.
