Our Client

Our client is a premier, large-scale commercial painting contractor with a reputation for delivering exceptional quality. Their diverse portfolio features prominent developments across Edinburgh, including high-profile commercial projects, major hotels, and student accommodations. Due to continued growth and an expanding pipeline of work, they are looking for a Project Manager to lead their teams on the ground and uphold our standards of excellence.

The Role

As Project Manager, you will take full ownership of your assigned projects from initial mobilization right through to final completion and client handover. You will be acting as a key link between operational teams and clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Delivery: Oversee projects from mobilisation through to final handover, ensuring they are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to an impeccable standard.
  • Site & Workforce Management: Direct and motivate a mix of direct labour and subcontractors on site, keeping morale high and efficiency sharp.
  • Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain excellent relationships by interfacing directly with main contractors, site management teams, and client representatives.
  • Commercial & Programme Awareness: Monitor project timelines closely, manage variations, track resources, and maintain strong commercial awareness to protect project margins.
  • Health, Safety & Quality: Champion a culture of safety on site, ensuring strict compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations while maintaining rigorous quality control.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
