About The Role

Our client is seeking a results-oriented Project Manager with a specialization in Construction to oversee projects in the Southampton area. You will be responsible for managing all phases of construction projects, from initial planning and design through to completion and handover. This role requires a strong understanding of construction methodologies, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to coordinate effectively with contractors, engineers, and clients. You will play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget, contributing to the company's reputation for excellence in construction management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of construction projects from inception to completion.
  • Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources, ensuring adherence to financial and timeline targets.
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project operations.
  • Ensure all construction activities comply with relevant safety regulations, building codes, and quality standards.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and progress meetings to monitor project status and address any issues promptly.
  • Prepare and present project progress reports to senior management and clients.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Construction Project Manager or in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, building materials, and relevant regulations.
  • Excellent understanding of project management software and techniques.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, resources, and timelines effectively.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to manage diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Relevant degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
