WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Manage a prioritised portfolio of operational projects, ensuring each has a clearly defined problem statement, sponsor, scope, expected benefits, milestones, resource requirements and success measures.
  • Define operational challenges through concise project briefs supported by customer, colleague, partner, operational and commercial evidence, establishing clear baselines and measurable outcomes.
  • Lead discovery activity, assessing options, operational implications, dependencies, risks, costs and benefits, and recommending whether initiatives should stop, develop, pilot or move into formal programmes.
  • Build business cases, decision papers and controlled trials with clear ownership, measures, milestones, costs and exit criteria, evaluating performance against agreed baselines.
  • Produce evidence-based post-trial evaluations and recommendations, securing business ownership, implementation plans, governance and resources for initiatives approved to scale.
  • Control project milestones, risks, dependencies, resources and expenditure whilst supporting day-to-day Convenience operations, including participation in the On Call rota and ownership of agreed operational priorities.

WHO YOU WILL BE

  • A strong project manager with the ability to take initiatives from problem definition through to implementation, handover or recommendation.
  • Commercially and operationally minded, able to assess opportunities objectively and make difficult decisions, including recommending when activity should stop.

  • A confident relationship builder who can influence across Operations, Transformation, Technology and Partner teams.
  • Analytical and evidence-led, using data, insight and measurable outcomes to inform decisions and evaluate success.
  • Curious and hands-on, willing to spend time in stores and with Partners to understand challenges, validate issues and test solutions.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
