Junior Project Manager - 4 Week Holiday Cover
4-week contract | £250 per day | Outside IR35 | Fully remote
I'm looking for a Junior Project Manager to join a creative agency for 4 weeks of holiday cover, helping to keep projects, clients and the wider team ticking along while the usual PM is away.
The agency specialises in integrated campaigns and creative production, working across a mix of creative, digital and campaign activity.
There are no shoots taking place during this period, so this isn't about running big production days. It's much more about holding the fort, keeping on top of the detail and making sure nothing gets dropped.
What you'll be doing
- Keeping project trackers, timelines and status updates up to date
- Monitoring shared inboxes and responding to client requests
- Picking up incoming queries and making sure they get to the right person
- Keeping clients updated and following up on outstanding actions
- Coordinating tasks and deadlines across creative and production teams
- Chasing approvals, assets and feedback where needed
- Joining internal/client calls and capturing actions
- Keeping an eye on upcoming deadlines and flagging anything that needs attention
- Generally being the organised pair of hands who keeps things moving while the team is on holiday cover

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
