Location: West Yorkshire

Salary: £55,000 per annum (negotiable depending on experience)

Working: Office-based with hybrid flexibility

The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Project Manager to join a growing specialist business operating within the high-end joinery and interior fit-out sector.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing projects from initial survey and pre-construction through to completion, working across a variety of sectors including hospitality, stadia, modular build, education and commercial projects.

Projects range from smaller joinery installations through to multimillion-pound fit-outs, involving both direct labour and subcontractors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage projects from initial brief through to completion.
  • Attend site surveys, assist with measurements and contribute to initial project requirements.
  • Develop and maintain project programmes, making revisions where required.
  • Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and deliveries to ensure projects remain on programme.
  • Attend client and site meetings and provide regular progress updates.
  • Produce and coordinate H&S documentation for internal labour and subcontractors.
  • Review designs, specifications, cost documents and scopes of work, identifying potential issues and improvements.
  • Carry out regular site surveys and communicate findings to designers, suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Monitor compliance with H&S, Building Regulations and CDM requirements.
  • Complete QA inspections and snagging throughout project delivery.
  • Manage non-conformances and ensure issues are rectified promptly.
  • Maintain project information and communications through CRM and cloud-based systems.
  • Produce O&M information upon project completion.
  • Build strong relationships with clients, suppliers, subcontractors and internal teams.
  • Contribute to post-project reviews and improvements to internal processes.
  • Identify potential new business opportunities and refer these to senior management.

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Around 5 years' experience as a Project Manager or Contracts Manager within the UK interior fit-out sector.
  • Experience delivering fit-out and/or joinery projects.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Experience managing multiple stakeholders, subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Good knowledge of relevant building regulations and industry standards.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Microsoft Project.
  • Experience using digital and cloud-based project management systems.
  • Confidence representing a business at client, supplier and site meetings.
  • Experience developing and maintaining client relationships.
  • Large-scale joinery installation experience would be advantageous.

Qualifications

  • Relevant CSCS Card.
  • SMSTS – preferred.
  • First Aid at Work.
  • Asbestos Awareness.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
