Programme / Project Manager
Sector: Energy / Transport
Location: London
Predominantly office-based, with some flexibility
Salary: £40,000–£48,000 + up to 20% bonus
We are working with a growing organisation operating across the energy and transport sectors that is looking to appoint an ambitious and highly organised Programme / Project Manager.
The successful candidate will support the delivery of a complex, multi-stakeholder programme while also helping to manage and monitor a growing portfolio of operational assets. This is a varied and hands-on opportunity within a small, collaborative business. The role will involve working closely with customers, suppliers, public-sector organisations, technical partners, and senior stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to a high standard.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Managing programme plans, delivery schedules, budgets, risk registers, and governance processes
- Coordinating multiple suppliers, customers, and external delivery partners
- Acting as a central point of contact across key project stakeholders
- Preparing progress reports, milestone updates, and senior-management presentations
- Monitoring operational performance, utilisation, and emerging risks across a growing asset portfolio
- Working with customers and technical teams to identify issues and implement practical solutions
- Supporting the development and delivery of future projects and commercial opportunities
- Taking ownership of projects following financial close and transitioning them into successful delivery programmes

We are looking for someone with:
- Experience delivering complex projects or programmes involving multiple stakeholders and suppliers
- Strong planning, budgeting, reporting, and risk-management skills
- Excellent stakeholder-management and customer-relationship capabilities
- The ability to manage several workstreams and competing priorities
- Strong written communication and presentation skills
- A proactive, practical, and highly organised approach

Experience within transport, energy, infrastructure, fleet management, asset management, engineering, public-sector programmes, or grant-funded projects would be advantageous but is not essential.
