Qualifications
What You’ll Do as a Project Manager D&A
We want you to feel challenged and inspired. Here, you’ll develop your skills across a range of responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end delivery of D&A technology components—including data products, platform enhancements, integrations, and analytics—while aligning to strategic project objectives.
- Oversee multimillion-pound project budgets (£2m–£6m), ensuring accurate forecasting, cost control, and timely variance management.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans covering scope, deliverables, timelines, risks, issues, dependencies, and resource needs, ensuring adherence to Primark’s governance and technical standards.
- Direct and motivate cross-functional teams, clarifying roles, ensuring quality assurance of deliverables, and building strong working relationships across business, tech, and supplier groups.
- Provide regular stakeholder reporting, highlighting progress, risks, mitigations, and insights to influence decision-making and maintain delivery momentum.
- Manage external vendors and internal stakeholders, negotiate contracts, track KPIs and benefits realisation, and coach team members to support their professional growth.

What You’ll Bring
Here at Primark, we want everyone to feel valued – so please bring your authentic self to work, of course with some other key experience and abilities for this role in particular:
- Bring 5+ years’ experience delivering complex technology projects particularly within Data & Analytics across defined scope, timelines, budgets, and quality standards, with strong stakeholder and communication skills.
- Demonstrate deep D&A expertise, including data platforms, migrations, modelling, governance, and analytics, with hands-on exposure to cloud technologies such as Databricks, Snowflake, and Power BI.
- Apply solid understanding of data architecture, operating models, and retail data domains (product, customer, inventory, pricing, forecasting, etc.) to guide effective technology delivery.
- Operate confidently across Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid delivery models, driving governance, sprint planning, backlog management, and acceptance criteria for data products.
- Manage multiple workstreams in parallel while building relationships with senior stakeholders, vendors, and cross-functional teams within a complex matrix environment.
