About the Opportunity
We are recruiting an experienced Project Manager on behalf of a leading organisation delivering critical infrastructure projects across live Data Centre environments in Croydon & Heathrow.
Working alongside a Senior Project Manager, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day delivery of multiple projects, including M&E installations, infrastructure upgrades and refurbishment works.
This is a hands-on, site-based position suited to someone who enjoys managing contractors, coordinating engineering teams and delivering projects within operational environments where downtime must be avoided.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the delivery of multiple M&E and infrastructure projects within live Data Centres.
- Coordinate subcontractors, specialist vendors and installation teams.
- Support senior management with project planning, programme delivery, commercial reporting and client communication.
- Ensure projects are completed safely, on time, within budget and to the required quality standards.
- Review RAMS, permits to work and construction documentation.
- Ensure compliance with CDM Regulations and relevant Health & Safety legislation.
- Act as the primary site contact for contractors, engineers and key stakeholders.
- Manage project risks, monitor progress and resolve technical or programme-related issues.
- Coordinate commissioning activities alongside engineering and operational teams.
- Maintain project documentation, including change control, reporting and project close-out.

Experience Required
We are interested in Project Managers with experience in Data Centres, mission-critical facilities, M&E contracting, building services, commercial construction or other technically demanding environments.
Experience delivering projects involving any of the following would be advantageous:
- Mechanical and electrical installations
- Critical infrastructure upgrades
- White Space fit-outs
- UPS, switchgear and power distribution
- Cooling systems and plant replacement
- Cable infrastructure and containment
- Generator installations and commissioning

Essential Requirements
- Proven experience delivering construction or M&E projects within live operational environments.
- Strong contractor and subcontractor management experience.
- Knowledge of CDM Regulations and Principal Contractor responsibilities.
- Experience reviewing RAMS and permits to work.
- Strong understanding of Health & Safety requirements.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and construction documentation.
- Commercial awareness, including budget management and variations.
- Excellent communication, organisation and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Degree, HNC/HND or equivalent experience in Construction Management, Building Services or Engineering.
- SMSTS and CSCS.
- First Aid at Work.
- IOSH Managing Safely or NEBOSH.
- APM, PRINCE2 or equivalent project management qualification.
