Senior Project Manager – Data

Location: Birmingham, UK – Hybrid

Contract: Inside IR35

Priority: Candidates based in or around Birmingham

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager – Data to manage end-to-end delivery of data, technology, and change initiatives within the banking/financial services environment. The role involves coordinating business and technology stakeholders, managing delivery plans and dependencies, and ensuring strong governance and timely execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end project plans, milestones, dependencies, SIT/UAT and release readiness.
  • Drive day-to-day delivery across technology, Finance and Risk stakeholders.
  • Manage RAID, risks, issues, dependencies, actions and decisions.
  • Lead governance, steering meetings and senior stakeholder reporting.
  • Manage scope, change control, delivery risks and timelines.
  • Coordinate workshops, planning sessions and Agile/hybrid ceremonies.
  • Track delivery progress and provide concise management updates.
  • Maintain project documentation, governance artefacts and audit-ready records.

Must-Have Skills

  • Recent Project Management experience in Banking / Financial Services
  • Overall Project Management experience
  • Strong experience in Data / Technology / Change projects
  • Excellent stakeholder management, including senior business and technology stakeholders
  • Strong planning, dependency and RAID management
  • Experience working in Agile / Hybrid delivery environments
  • Experience coordinating multiple teams and markets
  • Strong governance, reporting and delivery management skills
