Are you an experienced Project Manager with a background in defence and complex engineering programmes? If you’re confident managing demanding projects, engaging with MOD stakeholders and keeping multidisciplinary teams focused on delivery, this could be an excellent next step. An innovative engineering business is looking for a Project Manager to take ownership of the coordination, governance and client-facing delivery of a significant defence programme.

Working alongside established engineering leadership, you’ll provide the project management structure needed to keep a complex programme moving, bringing together engineering, production, commercial and customer stakeholders.

Package

  • £60,000–£80,000 depending on experience
  • Permanent, full-time position
  • Primarily site-based in Witney, Oxfordshire
  • 25 days’ holiday plus bank holidays

The Role

  • Coordinate the day-to-day delivery of a complex defence engineering programme.
  • Own project plans, schedules, milestones, risks, actions and dependencies.
  • Lead the cadence of project meetings, reviews and customer updates.
  • Produce clear reports and presentations for MOD, customer and senior stakeholders.
  • Coordinate engineering, production, supply chain and commercial teams to keep delivery moving.

About You

  • Experienced Project or Programme Manager with a strong defence background.
  • Experience working directly with MOD or major defence customer stakeholders.
  • Comfortable working across complex engineering or manufacturing programmes.
  • Strong project governance, planning, risk management and reporting experience.
  • Confident operating in a fast-paced environment where priorities can change quickly.
