Salary: £70,000 - £90,000
Banding: Level 4
Role Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and commercially minded Project Manager / Delivery Lead to oversee the successful delivery of client projects while actively contributing to business development efforts. This dual-role position is ideal for someone with a consultancy background who is confident managing end-to-end project lifecycles, building strong client relationships, and playing a strategic role in expanding our client base and service offering. The successful candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, balancing delivery excellence with entrepreneurial thinking to support our growth ambitions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of client projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope and budget.
- Lead complex transformation projects and programmes from initiation through to closure.
- Define scope, objectives, deliverables, benefits, and success measures in collaboration with clients and internal stakeholders.
- Build and maintain trusted client relationships, acting as a senior point of contact throughout engagements.
- Identify, shape, and convert opportunities for account growth and expanded service delivery.
- Establish and maintain robust project governance, controls, reporting, and assurance frameworks.
- Manage project and programme risks, issues, dependencies, and assumptions proactively.
- Ensure delivery quality, client satisfaction, and successful transition into business-as-usual operations.
- Provide strategic delivery leadership and challenge to clients, sponsors, and senior stakeholders.
- Drive benefits realization and ensure delivery outcomes achieve intended business value.
- Manage budgets, forecasts, and project financial performance.

Key Requirements

- Proven experience in project management and delivery within a consultancy or professional services environment.
- Experience delivering projects within Higher Education and/or Healthcare environments is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of client relationship management and stakeholder engagement.
- Demonstrated ability to support new business development and contribute to sales/proposal efforts.
- Ability to operate effectively in complex, fast-paced, and ambiguous environments.
- Experience of project delivery at all stages of the lifecycle.
- Experience mentoring, coaching, and developing delivery professionals.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Commercial acumen and a proactive mindset.
- Relevant project management qualifications (e.g., PRINCE2, PMP, Agile/Scrum) are a plus.
- A proactive mindset with a focus on delivering client value and business growth.
- Experience in Project Tools including Microsoft Project.
