This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a technical and engineering background who is looking to take the next step in their career. The role offers full training and support to build on your existing technical skills while developing the skills and experience needed for a project management role.

You will work closely with colleagues across Contracts, Design, Production, Purchasing, Quality, Service and Installation, helping to ensure projects are technically correct, properly planned, commercially controlled and delivered in line with agreed requirements.

Key responsibilities

  • Review customer orders, specifications, quotations, drawings and contractual requirements, escalating omissions, conflicts or risks promptly
  • Prepare and maintain project plans, action lists, design schedules, risk and issue logs, and progress reports
  • Coordinate information and actions across Design, Production, Purchasing, Quality, Testing, Service and Installation
  • Arrange and contribute to internal and customer project meetings, issue clear notes and follow up agreed actions
  • Monitor milestones, long-lead items, design approvals, manufacturing progress, testing, delivery and installation dates
  • Identify potential delays, cost increases, technical problems and changes to scope, and raise them with the responsible manager before they affect delivery
  • Support the management of variations by recording the reason, technical impact, programme impact and associated cost for approval
  • Maintain accurate project records, correspondence, approvals and close-out documentation within the company systems
  • Build professional working relationships with customers and suppliers, providing accurate updates within the limits of delegated authority
  • Producing and maintaining weekly project reports alongside the Design Engineer, ensuring reports are accurate, completed on time, and ready for issue to customers and Production.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
