Project Manager – Solar Development | London

I’m currently supporting the search for an experienced Project Manager to join a leading renewable energy organisation, focused on the development of utility-scale solar projects across the UK.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced renewable energy professional to take ownership of projects from early-stage development through to pre-construction, working across planning, land, technical, commercial and stakeholder workstreams.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing a portfolio of UK solar development projects
  • Taking projects through the development lifecycle, from site identification to pre-construction
  • Managing project budgets, programmes, risks and opportunities
  • Coordinating planning, environmental, technical, legal and land advisors
  • Managing relationships with landowners, local authorities and other key stakeholders
  • Supporting planning conditions, variations and consenting activities
  • Identifying and progressing new solar development opportunities
  • Working closely with grid, engineering, commercial, legal and financial teams
  • Supporting the development of wider renewable energy and energy storage opportunities

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
