Project Engineer – Digital Engineering (SC Cleared) | Reading (50% on-site) | Defence/Aerospace

We’re recruiting 4 Technical Project Engineers (one role per area: Synthetics, ITEA, TLS, Process & Integration) to support sensitive MOD/aerospace programmes with Edgewing. This is a delivery-focused role acting as the key technical interface between engineering teams and Delivery Management.

Clearance

Active SC is mandatory (DV preferred)

Location

Reading – minimum 50% on-site

Rate

Provided is bill rate

What you’ll do

  • Coordinate technical delivery across engineering teams and stakeholders
  • Own and manage technical risks, issues, assumptions, dependencies, and change control
  • Support project plans, technical roadmaps, estimation, resource/capacity planning, and prioritisation
  • Provide first-line technical leadership and decision-making; act as engineering escalation point
  • Manage technical interfaces with customers, suppliers, and internal delivery teams
  • Drive governance: engineering standards, technical reviews, milestone assessments, reporting/forecasting
  • Ensure deliverables meet agreed scope, schedule, and quality criteria

What you’ll need (essential)

  • Active SC Clearance (DV preferred)
  • 3+ years’ Aerospace & Defence experience, delivering in MOD / Defence Digital / UK aerospace environments
  • Degree (or equivalent) in Engineering or a relevant technical discipline
  • Experience planning and delivering complex technical work packages (critical paths, milestones, reporting)

  • APM / PRINCE2 / PMI / Agile / scheduling qualification
  • Experience with Digital Engineering, test, simulation, or through-life support lifecycles
  • Multi-partner / supplier delivery experience in regulated environments
