Project Manager – Glasgow – Hybrid – Permanent 37.5 hours per week – £50,000 - £70,000 per annum – SC or DV Clearance

Our client is looking for an experienced Project Manager to join their Project Delivery Practice, based in Glasgow.
You'll lead complex projects across sectors like Defence, Nuclear, Energy and Infrastructure, managing everything from scope and schedule to risk and stakeholder relationships.
Working Patterns and location – Hybrid – 2-3 days on site per week in Glasgow
The Key Responsibilities of a Project Manager:
- Lead project delivery from initiation to completion, managing scope, schedule, budget, risk and quality.
- Build and lead high-performing project teams, fostering a motivated and empowered working environment.
- Develop trusted relationships with clients and stakeholders, ensuring projects deliver real value.
- Apply robust governance and project controls in line with contractual and business requirements.
- Proactively manage risks, opportunities, dependencies and change throughout the project lifecycle.
- Manage commercial and procurement activities, including subcontractor engagement where required.
- Monitor and report project performance against delivery, financial, quality and KPI measures.
- Mentor and coach junior team members, sharing best practice across the wider practice.

Key Skills required for a Project Manager:
- Proven experience leading projects or major work packages through the full project lifecycle.
- Strong accountability for scope, schedule, cost, risk, quality and stakeholder management.
- Experience working in technically complex or regulated environments such as Defence, Nuclear, Energy or Infrastructure.
- Solid understanding of project governance, risk management, change control and commercial management.
- Knowledge of NEC3 and NEC4 construction and engineering contracts.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills across all levels of an organisation.
- Experience working within and leading multidisciplinary project teams.
- Ability to hold or willingness to undergo SC or DV security clearance.
Desired but not essential:
- Degree in Engineering, Project Management, Construction or a related discipline.
- APM PMQ, Chartered Project Professional (ChPP) or working towards a recognised professional qualification.
- Relevant engineering chartership or membership of a professional body.
- Experience mentoring or coaching junior project professionals.
- Exposure to consultancy or client-facing project management environments.
