The Project Manager, Early Diagnosis and Innovation

The Project Manager, Early Diagnosis and Innovation will sit within the Early Diagnosis portfolio as part of the wider Kent and Medway Cancer Alliance. Working as part of a programme team, the successful candidate will deliver project-based activity as well as supporting the day to day portfolio function. Working as part of a matrix delivery team, the role will be responsible for providing day to day project management support for specific projects and programmes.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Management: Plan, manage, and deliver small to medium-scale projects – often as part of a matrix delivery team - ensuring alignment with programme goals, timelines, and budgets.
- Project Governance & Documentation: Maintain and update project governance tools (e.g., RAID logs, project plans) to ensure timely, efficient delivery.
- PMO Support: Contribute to programme governance including highlight reporting, supporting internal and external meetings, and ensuring the accuracy of key documentation.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships with primary care teams, screening and immunisations and public health.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify lessons learned, share best practices, and help standardise project management tools and processes as part of a wider matrix team.
