Project Manager (Electrical) – Linesight

The Opportunity
Core Responsibilities

Manage large-scale construction projects for clients, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and with high quality.

Oversee day-to-day field activities, managing information flow, tracking quality, safety progress, and addressing emerging issues.

Assist in creating handover plans, ensuring timely documentation completion and expectation alignment.

Serve as a visible onsite leader, assessing progress and enforcing safe practices.

Coordinate snagging activity with client teams, consultants, and contractors, including scheduling and stakeholder engagement.

Implement project governance, reporting mechanisms, risk management, and change control, all while adhering to PMO standards.

Proactively identify and resolve issues, ensuring effective team collaboration.

Streamline project processes in partnership with clients to enhance efficiency and adaptability.

Oversee the implementation of project procedures, ensuring adherence to established reasonable industry standards.

Lead and attend key project meetings to monitor progress, engage in problem-solving, and clearly communicate impacts.

Evaluate proposed variations and delays, analysing their impact.
Ideal Candidate
A strong applicant will have experience in:
-
Delivering large-scale electrical or construction projects as a project manager.
-
Managing High Voltage (HV) electrical projects, including substations, transmission infrastructure, and utility systems.

Experience working with Transmission System Operators (TSO) and/or Distribution Network Operators (DNO), understanding their stakeholder requirements.

Project Management Office (PMO) experience, ensuring effective governance, reporting, and project controls with structured frameworks.

A degree or equivalent experience in project management or construction, and an interest in earning a PM professional certification (Linesight can support your certification efforts).
