About the Role:
Following continued success and growth, our Energy team is hiring a Project Manager to lead delivery of Electric Vehicle (EV) infrastructure projects throughout the UK. The role ensures EV installation projects are completed on time, scoped appropriately and hence meeting budget requirements, and delivered as per approved design, client's specification and safety requirements. In this role you will lead manage contractors, maintain consistent dialogue with clients, colleagues and other operational departments throughout all relevant stages including feasibility, design, procurement, construction, commissioning and handover.
What you'll do:
- Project manage the scoping, planning, documentation, monitoring and delivery of multiple EV installation projects, while steering our safety culture through visible safety leadership, ensuring adherence to all relevant health & safety policies, industry standards and regulations.
- You may also support on future EV scope bid proposals.

Responsibilities of a Project Manager:
- Lead EV installation works by coordinating site supply chain partners.
- Promote and protect the Circet brand on projects where we undertake both principal designer and principal contractor duties.
- Manage the commercial performance of projects based on your sound knowledge of contractual commitments and budgets.
- Multi-stakeholder engagement, including various departments, colleagues, customers/clients, sub-contractors and other professional parties.
- Submit and monitor DNO point of connection applications inclusive of liaison with IDNO's and ICP's.
- Monitor, forecast and report on project financials, including monthly invoicing and sales forecasts, cost reports and reports as required to operations director / finance team.
- Check and vet the quality of suppliers and sub-contractors and negotiate cost-effective prices in line procurement requirements.
- Plan and control the preparation of electrical sites / works prior to commencement of works and throughout project lifespan. Ensure the appointed sub-contractor is ready to meet the programme.
- Provide construction / electrical installation work schedules / programmes at each project stage and monitor progress against agreed completion dates and milestones.
- Perform regular site visits and chair meetings.
- Complete audits, inspections and progress reports.
Knowledge & Skills Requirements:
- Strong experience of LV and HV Electric Vehicle Installation projects inclusive of LEVI funded projects
- Ability to interpret electrical drawings, schematics and specifications.
- Effective IT skills including working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
- Commercial awareness - the ability to make sound commercial and contractual decisions
- Flexible to the needs of the project, able to modify approach when required
- Understanding of DNO Point of Connection application process and awareness of Independent Connection Providers scope of responsibility
- Strong understanding of CDM and the roles of duty holders
- Full current UK driving license (essential for site visits)
- Experience of working on multiple projects at any one time
- H&S experience and / or qualification
- Experience/understanding of principal contractor role
- Commercial EV installation project management experience
- Point of Connection experience with DNO's and contestable works with appointed ICP's
- Demonstratable knowledge of the IET Code of Practice for Electric Vehicle charging equipment installation
- NEC3 / NEC4 experience
