At Jacobs
We're challenging today to reinvent tomorrow by solving the world's most critical problems for thriving cities, resilient environments, mission-critical outcomes, operational advancement, scientific discovery and cutting-edge manufacturing, turning abstract ideas into realities that transform the world for good.
Your impact
Bring your expertise to projects that will shape the UK's energy future.
Jacobs is growing its Project Management team in Glasgow to support a significant energy infrastructure programme expected to commence before the end of the year. This is an opportunity to play a key role from the outset, helping to shape delivery strategy, influence important decisions, and contribute to successful project outcomes across the full lifecycle.
We're looking for experienced Project Managers who can bring project delivery expertise, commercial awareness, and a collaborative approach to complex infrastructure programmes. While experience within the energy sector would be valuable, we welcome applications from professionals delivering projects across infrastructure, transportation, water, defence, utilities, and industrial environments.
Experience within a Design & Build environment would be particularly advantageous, bringing an understanding of how design, procurement, construction, and stakeholder management come together to achieve successful project delivery.
At Jacobs, we're helping clients decarbonise, strengthen energy security, and modernise critical infrastructure. From grid connections for offshore wind and battery storage projects to major transmission upgrades, hydrogen developments, nuclear programmes, and complex refurbishment schemes, we're delivering projects that support the UK's energy transition.
This opportunity offers you the chance to
- Join a major programme during its early stages and help shape its future direction
- Work alongside multidisciplinary teams across design, commercial, environmental, and construction functions
- Contribute to nationally significant infrastructure projects with long-term investment and visibility
- Develop your career within one of the world's leading engineering and professional services consultancies
- Support projects that make a meaningful contribution to the UK's net-zero ambitions

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
