The Opportunity
The UK energy sector is undergoing rapid transformation. Increasing demand, evolving regulation, network investment and ambitious net zero targets are driving some of the most significant infrastructure programmes in a generation.
At Stantec, we're supporting clients across the energy landscape to deliver the projects that will power the future. We're looking for Project Managers to join our growing Energy team's talent pool and play a key role in delivering complex, high-impact projects that support the UK's energy transition.
With opportunities available across our UK offices, you'll work on some of the industry's most exciting and technically challenging projects while helping to create a more sustainable future.
About The Role
As a Project Manager, you'll lead the successful delivery of multidisciplinary energy projects across a diverse portfolio of sectors. This could include Transmission & Distribution, HVDC and interconnector schemes, wind farms, solar and renewable energy developments, Energy from Waste facilities, hydropower and dam projects, substations, overhead line infrastructure, connections schemes, protection and control systems, LVAC solutions, FEED studies, and both new-build and refurbishment programmes. You'll also have the opportunity to support projects involving geotechnical and building design solutions. Working closely with technical teams, clients and key stakeholders, you'll oversee projects from inception through to completion, ensuring delivery against programme, budget and quality objectives while helping to shape the future of the UK's energy infrastructure.

You'll help deliver critical infrastructure that supports the decarbonisation of the UK's energy system while contributing to projects that make a tangible difference to communities and the environment.
Key Responsibilities Will Include
- Leading multidisciplinary project teams through the full project lifecycle
- Managing project scope, budgets, schedules, risks and change control processes
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, contractors and internal stakeholders
- Supporting the successful delivery of complex engineering and infrastructure projects
- Ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard of quality
- Contributing to the continued growth and success of our Energy business

About You
We're interested in hearing from individuals who have experience managing complex engineering, infrastructure or energy-related projects and can demonstrate a strong understanding of project delivery principles.
You'll Ideally Bring
- Experience delivering projects within the Energy, Power or closely related sectors
- A recognised project management qualification such as APM PMQ or equivalent
- Experience managing project budgets, programmes and commercial aspects of delivery
- Knowledge of risk management and change control processes across the project lifecycle
- The ability to lead and coordinate multidisciplinary teams, including design disciplines
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- A collaborative approach and commitment to safe working practices
Experience working within regulated industries would be advantageous.
