Job Opportunity: Project Manager - West Scotland
CNX Recruitment are recruiting on behalf of a leading construction contractor for an experienced Project Manager to join their team, overseeing projects across West Scotland.
About the Role
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Project Manager with a background in interior fit out or main contracting to take responsibility for the successful delivery of construction projects from pre-construction through to completion.
The successful candidate will be commercially aware, highly organised, and confident managing project teams, subcontractors, clients, and programmes. Strong IT literacy is essential, with the ability to effectively manage project documentation, reporting, and digital construction systems.
Responsibilities
- Take overall responsibility for the successful delivery of construction projects across West Scotland.
- Manage projects from pre-construction through to completion and handover.
- Coordinate site teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and specialist contractors.
- Monitor project progress, costs, quality, and programme performance.
- Liaise directly with clients, consultants, and key stakeholders.
- Manage project meetings, progress meetings, and reporting.
- Identify and manage project risks, issues, and potential delays.
- Ensure works are delivered in accordance with drawings, specifications, and contractual requirements.
- Monitor health & safety, quality, and compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
- Manage variations, commercial issues, and project documentation.
- Oversee project completion, snagging, and final handover.

About You
The ideal candidate will have:
- Proven experience as a Project Manager within the construction industry.
- A background in interior fit out or main contracting.
- Experience managing projects from inception through to completion.
- Strong understanding of construction programmes, sequencing, and project delivery.
- Excellent client-facing and stakeholder management skills.
- Good commercial awareness and an understanding of project costs and variations.
- Excellent IT literacy, with confidence using Microsoft Office and construction/project management software.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage project teams and subcontractors.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and project delivery.
- Relevant construction qualifications, ideally including SMSTS, CSCS, and/or a recognised construction management qualification.
- Full UK driving licence.
