40 hrs pw Monday - Friday
£48,000pa - £52,000pa + excellent bonus and benefits

About the Role

At Sodexo, we believe that every campus should be a place where people can thrive. We're looking for a proactive, commercially aware and highly organised Project Manager to join our Universities team and play a key role in delivering facilities management projects that directly support world-class learning environments.

Based primarily at the University's Avery Hill Campus, you'll have the chance to work across a truly diverse and inspiring estate. Avery Hill is leading the way in sustainability as a decarbonised campus, supporting the University's commitment to reducing its environmental impact and creating a greener future. You'll also contribute to projects at the historic Greenwich Campus, a UNESCO World Heritage Site renowned for its stunning architecture and world-class setting, as well as the Medway Campus. This is a rare opportunity to help shape facilities and environments that blend innovation, sustainability and heritage while supporting thousands of students, staff and visitors every day.

What you'll do

Reporting to the Head of Projects, you'll take ownership of the end-to-end Task Order process, ensuring projects are delivered efficiently, compliantly and with a strong customer focus.

  • Managing project requests from initial client instruction through to completion and invoicing.
  • Producing accurate estimates and quotations for remedial and small works projects.
  • Collaborating with operational teams, contractors, suppliers and university stakeholders.
  • Managing multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining quality and compliance standards.
  • Monitoring project progress, milestones, budgets and reporting requirements.
  • Raising and managing purchase orders and project documentation.
  • Supporting commercial opportunities and helping identify ways to add value to our client partnership.
  • Ensuring all works are delivered safely, compliantly and in line with legislation and best practice.
  • Maintaining accurate project data, reports and tracking systems

What We’re Looking For

We're seeking someone who combines strong project coordination skills with commercial awareness and a passion for delivering outstanding customer service.

  • Experience within Facilities Management, Building Services, Projects or Estates environments.
  • A good understanding of FM services, ideally within a university or large complex environment.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Confidence working with estimates, quotations and project administration.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • The ability to manage competing priorities and remain calm under pressure.
  • A self-motivated approach and a continuous improvement mindset.
