Hybrid working - This Police Staff role adheres to Corporation of London’s hybrid working policy, which requires a 60% office attendance rate. The specifics of this will be discussed locally with your hiring manager if you’re successful for the role.

About The Team
The Future Police Estate Programme aims to deliver modern, future proof, secure and sustainable accommodation for policing within the square mile and to support the forces national portfolio, replacing outdated buildings that are no longer fit for purpose. The new accommodation will provide facilities for a diverse range of policing functions including a new headquarters building as part of the Salisbury Square development.
About The Role
The role will involve managing projects within the Future Police Estate Programme to ensure that the new facilities meet the operational requirements of the force. Projects will include the fit out of new buildings with furniture and equipment, the relocation of staff from their existing locations to the new buildings and the clearance and decommissioning of vacated buildings.

As a key member of the team, you’ll use your excellent project methodology and communication skills to identify and define requirements, agree and communicate project scope and monitor and track project progress to ensure delivery of the required outputs to the specified quality, on time and to budget.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- Manage and be responsible for the execution and successful delivery of projects as part of the City of London Police Future Police Estate Programme.
- Have primary responsibility for ensuring that the project produces the required outcomes within the specified tolerances of time, cost and quality whilst managing the scope and risk to achieve the benefits.
- Develop, plan, and co-ordinate resources for allocated projects.
- Demonstrate compliance with corporate project management, governance, financial and procurement processes in line with the project procedure and gateway approval processes.
- Where necessary, facilitate the start-up activity of projects to define scope, goals and deliverables.
- Prepare and manage project documentation including the project brief, project plans, risk register and produce written highlight, update and committee reports for the relevant governance boards.
- Develop an effective communications strategy for each project allocated to support the successful delivery of the project and build and maintain excellent stakeholder relationships.
Requirements
Your application will be scored against the criteria listed below for shortlisting. Please ensure that you reference your ability, knowledge and experience against these points in your application.
- Managing projects, ideally within the public sector and / or the construction field.
- Recognised and current qualification in Project methodologies (PRINCE2) or equivalent skills and experience.
- Experience and certifications in any of the following (or other recognised accreditation in the same field) are desirable: Managing Successful Programmes (MSP) & Management of Risk (M_o_R).
- Experience of working with senior management and stakeholders in large organisations including planning and facilitating stakeholder engagement, collecting and analysing feedback and keeping stakeholders informed of results.
- Experience of managing concurrent projects including the effective planning and management of project resources.
- Effective oral and written communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively to a variety of audiences.
This vacancy is open only to those who have the right to work in the UK. Also, due to this role requiring MV/SC level vetting, you need to have continuously resided in the UK for the last 5 years. This residency needs to be in the immediate 5 years prior to this application. If you do not meet this requirement, you are not eligible to apply for the role, due to nature of the vetting checks needed.

Selection Process
As part of the initial application process, you will be asked to evidence how your experience, skills, and knowledge align with the points listed above in the ‘Requirements Section.’
The application and interview will be tested under Level 2 of the College of Policing Competency and Values Framework.
Applicants who fail to address the skills/knowledge/experience of the job description will not be considered.
