Job Role: M&E Project Manager
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: £70,000 per annum + Benefits
Location: London (with travel to project sites as required)
About The Role
We are seeking an experienced M&E Mechanical Project Manager to join our client’s growing team and lead the successful delivery of mechanical building services projects across London and the South-East. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all mechanical aspects of M&E projects from pre-construction through to completion, ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and commercially aware project manager looking to play a key role within a dynamic and expanding organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the delivery of mechanical services packages on commercial, residential, healthcare, education, and mixed-use developments.
- Oversee projects from initial planning through installation, commissioning, handover, and final account.
- Coordinate site teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants to ensure project milestones are achieved.
- Monitor programme performance and implement corrective actions where required.
- Manage project budgets, procurement schedules, and cost control measures.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation and company procedures.
- Attend client, design, and progress meetings.
- Review technical drawings, specifications, and design information.
- Identify and manage project risks and opportunities.
- Produce and maintain project reports, programmes, and documentation.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships to support repeat business opportunities.
- Support the commercial team with variations, valuations, and contractual matters.

Requirements
Essential
- Proven experience as an M&E Mechanical Project Manager within the building services industry.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, public health, heating, ventilation, and mechanical building services installations.
- Experience delivering projects valued from £1m to £20m+.
- Excellent project planning and organisational skills.
- Commercial awareness and budget management experience.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and project management software.

Desirable
- HNC/HND or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services, or related discipline.
- SMSTS qualification.
- CSCS Manager Card.
- First Aid at Work certification.
- Experience working with Tier 1 contractors or major M&E subcontractors.
