Do you want to work on significant civil engineering projects in the energy sector whilst getting home every night?
If you're fed up working away, or want to break into the massive pipeline of work that Scotland can offer in energy and renewables, but can't work away due to your own circumstances, then this role will appeal to you.
We’re looking for an experienced Site Agent or Project Manager to join a busy civil engineering contractor delivering power and energy-related civil engineering projects across Central Scotland.
This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys taking full ownership of delivery, keeping projects moving, and working closely with site teams, clients and commercial colleagues to make sure work is completed safely, on time, within budget and to the required standard.
You’ll be joining a highly successful contractor with a strong reputation for quality, collaboration and integrity, across decades in Scotland. There is a healthy pipeline of work, a supportive environment, and a real focus on development and doing things properly.
What you’ll be doing
You’ll be responsible for the day-to-day management and successful delivery of civil construction projects, with a focus on programme, cost, quality and health & safety.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
