Role Description

The Project Manager role at astaunton Civil Engineering is a full-time, on-site position based in Wickford, Essex. The Project Manager will oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of civil engineering & Highways projects, ensuring they are delivered to scope, schedule, and budget.

The role involves regular communication with clients, contractors, and internal stakeholders, preparing progress reports, managing risks, and resolving issues promptly. The Project Manager will also support resource planning, oversee inspections, and contribute to continuous improvement of project delivery processes.

Qualifications

  • Strong project management skills, including experience in planning, executing, and monitoring civil engineering, Highways, or construction projects.
  • Expeditor and expediting experience, with the ability to track materials, equipment, and documentation to keep projects on schedule.
  • Inspection skills, with a solid understanding of quality standards, safety regulations, and compliance requirements in civil engineering.
  • Logistics management skills, including coordination of supply chains, deliveries, and site resources.
  • Relevant technical qualification such as a degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software, and strong organizational and analytical abilities.
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to work on-site, manage multiple priorities, and uphold high standards of health and safety.
