This is an excellent opportunity for experienced construction professionals looking to progress their careers while working on significant commercial, industrial and building services projects within the Australian market.

Depending on experience and the level of the position, salaries will range from approximately AUD $150,000 to $250,000, with relocation expenses available for successful candidates moving to Australia.

The Role

Reporting into the Project Director, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day management and successful delivery of assigned HVAC, Mechanical or Electrical project packages.

You will manage projects from design and pre-construction through procurement, installation, commissioning and final handover, ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to the required technical and quality standards.

You will work closely with clients, principal contractors, consultants, subcontractors and internal project teams while maintaining strong commercial oversight throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the delivery of medium to large-scale HVAC, Mechanical or Electrical projects from design through to completion.
  • Manage project programmes, budgets, resources and overall project performance.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, builders, principal contractors, consultants, suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Ensure contractual requirements, project scope and commercial obligations are fully understood and delivered.
  • Identify and manage contractual, commercial and operational project risks.
  • Oversee design development, procurement, technical documentation and construction drawings.
  • Manage the financial performance of projects, including forecasting, cost-to-complete and change management.
  • Manage variations and associated submissions and approvals both upstream and downstream.
  • Lead, manage and develop project teams, providing technical and operational direction throughout delivery.
  • Participate in client, contractor and site meetings and provide clear updates on programme, cost and project performance.
  • Respond to technical queries and coordinate solutions with engineering, design and construction teams.
  • Monitor labour performance, programme schedules, progress claims and project reporting.
  • Manage quality requirements and ensure non-conformances are appropriately addressed.
  • Oversee testing, commissioning, project handover and the defects liability period.
  • Ensure projects are delivered in accordance with relevant health, safety, quality and technical requirements.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
