About The Role

Project Manager - Balfour Beatty (@one Alliance)

Location: Peterborough (Hybrid working available)

Balfour Beatty plays a key role as part of Anglian Water's @one Alliance, a unique partnership bringing together eight industry-leading organisations to deliver approximately 40% of Anglian Water's capital investment programme.

As we continue to deliver AMP8, the most ambitious investment period in Anglian Water's history, we're looking for a Performance Delivery Manager to lead teams in delivering complex infrastructure projects that improve the environment and support the region's communities.

This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of multiple projects across their full lifecycle, leading high-performing teams and ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on time and within budget.

What you'll be doing

As our new Project Delivery Manager, you'll oversee the development and delivery of project solutions, ensuring projects meet quality, safety and drinking water standards while remaining compliant with legislation, Alliance governance and processes.

Key Responsibilities Include

  • Leading the safe delivery of multiple projects and championing a Zero Harm culture through audits, reviews and CDM compliance assurance.
  • Building and maintaining a high-performing team environment where individuals feel empowered to innovate and solve problems.
  • Translating programme strategy into successful project outcomes through effective leadership and resource management.
  • Taking accountability for the full project lifecycle, from receipt of need through to construction, handover, sign-off and warranty management.
  • Working closely with Commercial and Planning teams to manage cost and resource forecasts while proactively addressing risks and issues.
  • Ensuring proposed project solutions are safe, commercially viable and fit for purpose.
  • Driving delivery against key project milestones and governance requirements including Project Rehearsals and Fit for Assembly reviews.
  • Promoting collaboration and knowledge sharing across the @one Alliance and wider industry partners.
  • Supporting the development of future leaders and strengthening team capability across the programme.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
