An established engineering and technology organisation delivering complex, high-assurance solutions across the defence, aerospace and wider critical-infrastructure sectors. Working at the forefront of technically demanding programmes, the organisation brings together engineering expertise, trusted customer relationships and specialist external delivery capability to support projects where quality, security and performance are essential.
As a Technical Subcontract & Work Package Manager, you will sit at the centre of complex delivery activity, working with senior end-client stakeholders, internal technical teams and specialist external engineering partners.

You will need to be confident leading conversations at every level, from discussing delivery detail with engineers and subcontractors to presenting progress, risks and outcomes to senior customer and programme leadership.
Key responsibilities
- Define technical work packages, including scope, deliverables, milestones, resources and acceptance criteria.
- Identify, engage and negotiate with suitable engineering subcontractors and external delivery partners.
- Present technical packages confidently to senior stakeholders, translating technical detail into clear outcomes.
- Coordinate internal and external teams while managing interfaces, dependencies, risks and change.
- Monitor cost, schedule, quality and technical performance through to acceptance and handover.
