Job Description
About the Role
You will coordinate IT, construction, facilities, security, business leaders, consultants, and technology partners to deliver a secure, resilient, and operationally ready workplace. Scope covers network infrastructure, IT rooms, AV, structured cabling, CCTV, access control, and related technologies. We need a project leader with broad technical understanding, strong judgment, and disciplined execution in scope, schedule, budget, quality, vendors, and handover.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the full IT infrastructure lifecycle: requirements, design, procurement, construction, commissioning, acceptance, and handover.
- Coordinate across IT, business functions, Real Estate, Facilities, EHS, Security, architects, consultants, contractors, carriers, integrators, and vendors.
- Manage project charter, WBS, integrated schedule, budget, governance, communication, and readiness plan.
- Lead design and construction-document reviews; resolve clashes, capacity gaps, interfaces, and dependencies early.
- Track milestones, critical paths, resources, costs, risks, issues, changes, and recovery actions; escalate with clear options.
- Oversee sourcing and suppliers: RFP/RFQ, technical evaluations, bid comparisons, purchase planning, change orders, warranties, and performance.
- Drive on-site execution: surveys, installation sequencing, access planning, material delivery, quality inspections, safety compliance, and field issue resolution.
- Define acceptance criteria; coordinate factory, site, integration, performance, security, and user testing; ensure defect closure.
- Provide governance and senior leaders with concise, transparent views of schedule, budget, risk, decisions, changes, and readiness.
- Ensure complete operational transition: documentation, configurations, asset records, training, warranties, spares, support models, and escalation procedures.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
