Job Summary

The Project Manager is accountable for ensuring assigned EMEA client projects have a clear plan, remain on time and within budget, and that risks, dependencies, scope changes and decisions are actively managed through to successful delivery. Working across Product, Engineering, Account Management and client stakeholders, the Project Manager owns the overall delivery plan, milestones, dependencies, risks and resource requirements, while maintaining clear visibility of the commercial position of their assigned projects.

This is a highly visible, client-facing role requiring strong delivery discipline, commercial awareness and the ability to coordinate multiple teams and stakeholders across complex financial technology implementations. The Project Manager translates client objectives and delivery realities into clear, actionable plans and ensures all parties remain aligned on progress, risks, decisions and milestones.

Key Responsibilities

Project Planning & Milestone Ownership

  • End-to-End Planning: Build and continuously maintain comprehensive project plans, cross-team timelines, milestone trackers and delivery forecasts for complex client engagements.
  • Dependency Mapping: Coordinate cross-team dependencies at the engagement level, partnering with technical Pod Leads to ensure client-facing timelines accurately reflect multi-pod capacity and realities.
  • Release Orchestration: Manage project sequencing across client, delivery, and internal stakeholders to track critical paths and orchestrate seamless go-live readiness and release coordination.
  • Implementation Readiness: Coordinate go-live readiness, client acceptance and transition into business-as-usual support, ensuring outstanding actions, dependencies and ownership are clear before project closure.
  • Budget & Effort Management: Establish and maintain the project delivery budget, tracking planned versus consumed delivery days and forecast effort to completion. Identify potential overruns early and agree corrective actions with the relevant stakeholders.
  • Forecasting: Maintain accurate forecasts for project completion dates, remaining effort and resource requirements, highlighting variance against the agreed baseline.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

Day-to-Day Execution & Coordination

  • Momentum & Follow-Through: Drive daily accountability on action items, open decisions, and cross-functional deliverables, proactively resolving operational gaps before they become delivery risks.
  • Iteration Alignment: Attend pod iteration planning sessions to inject vital client priority context and highlight upcoming timeline dependencies (Note: Pod Leads retain ownership of technical sequencing and sprint commitments).
  • Regional Delivery: Coordinate delivery across distributed teams and clients throughout the UK and EMEA, managing dependencies across locations, time zones and internal delivery functions.
  • Delivery Governance: Maintain the agreed project plan, RAID log, actions and decisions, budget and effort tracking, and project status reporting as the single source of truth for each engagement.
  • Project Health: Maintain an objective assessment of project health across timeline, budget, scope and delivery risk, escalating material variance early and ensuring recovery actions are clearly owned.

Risk, Issue & Escalation Management

  • Proactive Mitigation: Identify, log and escalate project blockers early, with clear articulation of downstream impacts, mitigation options and recommended trade-offs.
  • RAID Management: Own and maintain the project Risks, Assumptions, Issues and Dependencies log, ensuring each item has clear ownership, impact, mitigation and target resolution dates.
  • Escalation Ownership: Drive the resolution process for delivery risks—synthesizing technical inputs from the Pod Lead and client-side constraints from the Account Manager—to establish clear accountability and resolution paths.
  • Scope & Change Control: Maintain clear control of agreed project scope. Identify changes or additional requirements, assess their delivery and commercial impact, and ensure changes are formally agreed before being incorporated into the delivery plan.

Client Communication & Transparent Reporting

  • Single Source of Truth: Own project-level delivery reporting and coordinate client-facing delivery communications with the Account Manager, including status updates, project health dashboards and milestone reports.
  • Jargon-Free Clarity: Translate complex technical status updates into clear, concise, and business-friendly communications that clients and executive stakeholders can easily digest and act upon.
  • Meeting Facilitation: Lead or facilitate client delivery meetings where appropriate, ensuring key decisions, actions and follow-ups are clearly captured, owned and tracked through to completion.
