Build your career delivering infrastructure that matters.

Join Tetra Tech’s established Defence team and lead complex, high-profile projects for the Defence Infrastructure Organisation (DIO), working alongside experienced technical specialists across multidisciplinary programmes.

Purpose & Scope of the Role

As a Project Manager, you’ll take ownership of defence infrastructure projects through the full lifecycle, from feasibility and planning through construction to commissioning. Working across buildings and civil engineering programmes, you’ll coordinate multidisciplinary teams, manage commercial and contractual requirements, and maintain a clear focus on safe, timely and high-quality delivery.

You’ll join an experienced team with opportunities to broaden your technical knowledge, strengthen your defence-sector expertise and take on increasingly complex project challenges.

Your Impact in this position

You’ll create the structure, momentum and collaboration needed to keep projects moving. By managing programme, cost, risk, quality, change and stakeholder relationships, you’ll help ensure contractual commitments are met while providing clients with confidence in project performance.

You’ll also support a high-performing team culture, building strong relationships and helping colleagues achieve excellent outcomes.

5 Core Capabilities

  • Project Delivery & Controls – Lead complex projects to programme and budget, managing resources, milestones, change, risk and quality throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Technical & Defence Experience – Apply your experience of complex infrastructure projects, ideally within defence, buildings or civils, where regulatory compliance and effective risk management are critical.
  • Leadership & Collaboration – Bring multidisciplinary teams together, establish effective ways of working and support colleagues through coaching, motivation and clear direction.
  • Commercial & Financial Management – Confidently manage budgets, cost control, forecasting and contractual matters, using sound judgement and effective negotiation to achieve positive outcomes.
  • Stakeholder & Project Communication – Build trusted client relationships, communicate complex information clearly and develop robust project documentation, including programmes, risk registers, execution plans, stakeholder plans and quality plans.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
