Project Manager - Music Venue Safety Data Project
Job Title: Project Manager - Music Venue Safety Data Project
Reports To: Chief Product & Technology Officer (CPTO)
Location: Hybrid (Must be commutable to Liverpool & the north west)
Salary: Up to £50,000
Term: Full-Time, Fixed Term contract until 30 April 2027 (inclusive)
Hours: 40 hours per week (Requires a varied schedule; not always a typical 9–5 due to the nature of the events industry).
Our Mission
Aposto exists to improve the safety and sustainability of the live event sector through better data. Our name comes from the Italian phrase “tutt a'posto” meaning, “everything in place”.
We are transforming the event industry by eliminating complexity in event planning, staffing, and compliance. Built by event managers for event managers, our B2B SaaS platform streamlines operations and insights for football clubs, stadiums, arenas, live concerts and construction sites. From staff onboarding and training to live incident data and analytics, we provide everything businesses need in one place.
We are on a vital mission to make the UK - starting in Liverpool - the safest place in the world to host live events.
The Project
The goal of this project is to assess the feasibility and value in creating a “data commons” amongst live music venues and local authorities in north west England, via our safety intelligence platform CrowdVista™. The platform will provide the industry with a collaborative digital ecosystem where data is shared for the purposes of improving safety and financial sustainability through collective knowledge.
This innovative collaborative approach to solving the problem has been tested in football, where our platform Matchbox is used by members of the Football Safety Officers' Association.
The Role
Our Project Manager will be an enthusiast for all things “live”, with a passion for and understanding of the UK music, sports and events scene. The role will require frequent communication with, and travel to, venues and locations across two key regions: Liverpool City Regional Authority and the Greater Manchester Combined Authority, to encourage participation with the project. Due to the nature of the project, we’re keen to work with someone who enjoys turning data into positive action, so a familiarity with, or experience in, interpreting data sets within the music/live events sectors is desirable.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
