Cifas is the UK’s leading fraud prevention service, managing the largest database of instances of fraudulent conduct in the country. Our members are organisations from all sectors, sharing their data across those sectors to reduce instances of fraud and financial crime. Operating as a not-for-profit means our teams put all their efforts into our mission of fighting fraud, rather than creating a financial return for shareholders.

Fraud presents a serious and significant threat to the UK and our role in protecting businesses, the public and the economy from fraud is now more important than ever before. As a result, we have ambitious plans to innovate and create new services and products that will significantly improve the way that we and our members tackle fraud.

Our employees play a crucial part in ensuring we remain the UK's leading fraud prevention service, whilst also ensuring our members remain at the heart of everything we do.

The role:

We're looking for an organised and proactive Project Manager who thrives in dynamic environments, enjoys solving problems and can confidently manage competing priorities, risks and dependencies.

This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in the delivery of JustMe, an innovative and strategically important consumer product that will be adopted by the whole of the UK. Working at the heart of the programme, the Project Manager will lead the planning, coordination and delivery of this complex initiative that has the potential to make a huge impact for every consumer in the UK.

Partnering closely with the Product Manager, delivery teams, external global partners and key stakeholders, the successful candidate will turn ambition into action, translating priorities into clear, achievable plans and ensuring delivery remains on track. This is a highly visible, hands-on role where your ability to bring structure, pace and accountability will be critical to success.

Responsibilities & accountabilities:

Working alongside industry specialists, the successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Developing, maintaining and communicating detailed project plans, milestones, dependencies and delivery schedules for the JustMe pilot.
  • Coordinating cross functional teams and external partners to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Translating business priorities and roadmap activities into achievable delivery plans.
  • Managing project risks, issues, assumptions and dependencies, escalating where required.
  • Monitoring progress against objectives, holding stakeholders accountable for agreed actions and deliverables.
  • Producing regular status reports, providing clear visibility of progress.
  • Facilitating project meetings ensuring actions are clearly recorded and progressed.
  • Working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to manage expectations and maintain alignment on objectives, timelines and deliverables.
  • Maintaining project documentation, reporting and delivery artefacts, ensuring stakeholders have clear visibility of progress and key decisions.
  • Working with other project managers, the product team and the wider business to identify and track critical path dependencies that may affect delivery.
  • Implementing and managing change controls where required to ensure project objectives remain achievable and aligned to business priorities.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
