What you'll do
At Viasat UK our team provides industry leading, government approved Data at Rest encryption solutions to government and defence organisations, globally. Our capability extends into multiple systems and platforms within a myriad of domains, providing versatile projects and exciting opportunities.
As a results driven Project Manager reporting to the Programme Director, you will be responsible for delivering projects through their full lifecycle to time, cost and quality. Managing a multi-disciplinary engineering team and co-ordinating a multi-functional delivery team, you will utilise your excellent communication and organisational skills to ensure the team fully understands their outcomes and objectives whilst fostering collaborative relationships to develop customer intimacy to drive growth and manage change.

The day-to-day
- Project reporting, including scheduling, financial reporting, budgeting and risk management
- Stakeholder management (Internal and External)
- Cross-departmental working
- Matrix Management of multi-disciplinary delivery teams
- Internal Progress Meetings
- Customer Progress Meetings (Teams and F2F)
- Effort estimating
- Scheduling
- Resource
- Time Management System
- RAID Identification and Management
- Change Control
- Compilation of whitepapers, bids, and proposals with content, cost, and scheduling information
What you'll need
- Experience in project Management in a technical environment
- Qualified to APMP/Prince 2 Practitioner (or equivalent)
- UK national and able to achieve DV clearance
- The role requires you to be on-site in our Farnborough location for a minimum of 3 days per week
- Strong working knowledge of common project management methodologies
