About us

Here at SmartImpact, we are a UK Microsoft Partner, we have been providing innovative digital solutions to the non-profit sector since 2007. We partner with organisations of all sizes, individual and corporate membership bodies, charities & fundraisers, societies, colleges and regulatory bodies. Seeing a strong growth in the last few years and with a workforce of around 50 people currently, we’re expanding our team of Project Managers.

About the role

This is a rapidly growing and in demand area, so you will have plenty of opportunity to add your personality, skill set and professional experience to our projects. Most of your time will be spent either managing a portfolio of in-flight opportunities that are at different delivery stages. This could be in discovery, in build, post UAT, post go live or even at quotation stage; or a larger project requiring all your time (depending on sales pipeline and timing). We are looking for people who can use their project management skillset and experience appropriately and assist our clients in utilising their time and budgets effectively and efficiently.

As we increasingly work with clients across their business portfolio you will look to ensure the use of the Microsoft platform bringing together the right skilled resources to deliver client value without compromise. This is a unique opportunity to join a small business with big expectations and ambition for raising quality and standards. We are in a growth transition and as such need candidates who are self starters, proactive and who can adopt to new standards being introduced whilst maintaining delivery focus. We are investing heavily in project management, governance and standards and this is your chance to contribute to that growth by bringing your experience, passion and tenacity to us

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Your responsibilities

  • As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that solutions are delivered within the commercial, governance and delivery framework as defined in the statement(s) of work for our projects.
  • You will navigate projects through approval, change, risk, issue and tolerance and evidence this progression by following the agreed project methodology framework, governance tollgates and provide for audit approved client documentation.
  • Be responsible for coordinating programme and projects plans, organising workshops, authoring governance documents, peer reviewing others and controlling constraints both internally and with the client externally.
  • You will also be responsible for managing Agile delivery processes using Azure DevOps (ADO), including maintaining and prioritising backlogs, managing user stories, coordinating sprint planning sessions and monitoring delivery progress through burn down charts, velocity tracking and sprint reporting. You will work closely with consultants, developers, testers and client stakeholders to ensure delivery plans remain accurate, transparent and achievable.
  • The role will involve facilitating stand ups, sprint reviews and retrospectives where appropriate, while ensuring delivery risks, blockers, dependencies and resource constraints are proactively identified and managed. You will provide regular reporting and clear communication to both internal leadership teams and clients on delivery status, project health and resource utilisation.
  • You will take ownership of project(s) economics and ensure that projects remain profitable, in line with tolerance and that invoicing, approvals and internal governance process is followed and ready for audit.
