Why we're hiring:

The Project Manager plays a vital role within our Programmes and Project Management team, overseeing a portfolio of projects that contribute to wider cross-pillar initiatives and deeper dives within individual pillars. This role requires a highly organized and strategic individual with a deep understanding of project management methodologies and a proven ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams.

What you'll be doing:

Programme and Project Management

  • Programme Planning & Management: Develop and manage comprehensive programme plans that outline the scope, objectives, timelines, and resource allocation for a portfolio of projects. Ensure alignment with overall strategic objectives and business value.
  • Project Coordination & Integration: Oversee the execution of individual projects within the programme, ensuring they are effectively coordinated and integrated to achieve a cohesive outcome. Manage interdependencies between projects and identify potential risks or conflicts.
  • Communication & Stakeholder Management: Develop and implement communication plans to keep all stakeholders informed of programme progress, risks, and issues. Effectively communicate with team members, senior management, and other stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Risk Management & Mitigation: Identify, assess, and mitigate potential risks that could impact programme delivery. Develop contingency plans and proactively address any challenges that arise.
  • Project Management Methodology Implementation: Utilize appropriate project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, etc.) to ensure efficient and effective project execution. Adapt methodologies as needed to meet the specific requirements of each project.
  • Performance Monitoring & Reporting: Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide regular updates on programme progress, project milestones, and overall performance. Develop and maintain comprehensive reporting frameworks to provide actionable insights.
  • Continuous Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve project management processes, methodologies, and tools to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Identify opportunities for innovation and best practice implementation.

Who you'll be working with:

  • Collaboration: Foster a collaborative environment within the Programmes and Project Management team and across other departments.
  • Best Practice Definition: Contribute to the definition and implementation of Programme Management best practices and standards within the organization.
  • Feedback Collection and Action: Actively solicit and incorporate feedback from stakeholders to improve programme effectiveness and address concerns.
  • Team Leadership and Support: Provide support and guidance to team members on project management methodologies, tools, and best practices. Serve as mentor, escalation point and leader within the team.
  • Knowledge Transfer and Learning: Facilitate knowledge sharing and cross-training within the team to enhance overall team capabilities.

What you'll need:

  • Substantial experience in programme and project management, demonstrating a proven track record of successful project delivery.
  • Deep understanding of project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, etc.) and their practical application.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to effectively communicate at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams in a matrixed environment.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficient in project management tools and software.
  • A strong and flexible work ethic; able to work under pressure and juggle multiple responsibilities to meet deadlines and deliver results.
