Role Overview
Translux International is looking for a highly organised, proactive, and experienced Project Manager to join our Logistics Operations team.
The Project Manager will take ownership of a project once it has been handed over by the Sales team and will be responsible for managing the operational and logistical requirements of that project from start to finish.
This is a fast-paced role requiring excellent organisation, communication, and problem-solving skills. The successful candidate must be confident making decisions, using their own initiative, and thinking outside the box when plans change or operational challenges arise.
A major part of this position is diary and resource management, which is managed extensively through Microsoft Excel. Therefore, strong Excel skills are an absolute requirement for this role.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management
- Take full operational ownership of projects following handover from the Sales team.
- Manage each project from initial preparation through to completion and wrap.
- Understand the full logistical requirements of each production and ensure these are planned appropriately.
- Act as a central point of contact between the client, Head of Department (HOD), drivers, and the wider Translux Operations team.
- Maintain a clear understanding of the current status and upcoming requirements of every allocated project.
- Proactively identify potential issues before they impact the production.
Logistics & Equipment Planning
- Ensure all required vehicles, trailers, and equipment are correctly allocated to the project.
- Work closely with the wider Logistics and Transport teams to ensure equipment is available when required.
- Monitor equipment movements and ensure locations are accurately reflected within the operational diary.
- Ensure any changes to equipment requirements are communicated and actioned promptly.
- Coordinate requirements for preparation, moves, daily operations, and wrap.

Driver Planning
- Book and allocate drivers for project requirements.
- Ensure the correct type and number of drivers are allocated to each movement.
- Organise drivers for swings, daily runners, moves, and other project requirements.
- Communicate job information clearly to the relevant operational teams.
- React quickly to changes in schedules, driver availability, or production requirements.
Move Schedules
- Liaise closely with the project's Head of Department (HOD) regarding upcoming moves and requirements.
- Review move schedules and ensure Translux has the necessary drivers, vehicles, and equipment available.
- Ensure operational requirements are identified well in advance wherever possible.
- Adapt plans quickly where production schedules change.
Paperwork & Documentation
- Ensure all necessary operational paperwork is created accurately and in good time.
- Prepare and maintain documentation relating to swings, daily runners, and project movements.
- Ensure relevant information is communicated to drivers and the wider Operations team.
- Keep project information accurate and up to date throughout the lifecycle of the production.
Diary Management & Excel
Diary management is a key part of this role. The Project Manager will be responsible for ensuring the operational diary accurately reflects:
- Driver allocations
- Vehicle and tractor unit allocations
- Trailer and equipment movements
- Swing requirements
- Daily runners
- Move schedules
- Equipment locations
- Project requirements and changes
Our operational diary and planning systems are heavily based around Microsoft Excel, so candidates must be confident working with spreadsheets and managing large amounts of changing information. A good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel is essential.
Client Communication
- Maintain regular communication with clients throughout the project.
- Ensure client requirements are clearly understood and communicated internally.
- Respond professionally and promptly to requests and changes.
- Work collaboratively with the client to resolve operational challenges.
- Build strong working relationships and provide a high level of service throughout the production.

The successful candidate will need to be:

- A strong team player while also being capable of working independently.

- Confident working under pressure and to tight deadlines
Experience within film, television, transport, logistics, production, or a similarly fast-paced operational environment would be advantageous.
The Person We Are Looking For
This role would suit someone who naturally takes ownership. We need someone who doesn't simply wait to be told what to do, but looks ahead, identifies what a project is going to need, and makes sure everything is in place before it is required. Productions can change quickly, so the successful candidate must be able to adapt, reorganise, and find solutions while keeping the client, HOD, drivers, and internal teams informed. Above all, we are looking for someone who is highly organised, commercially aware, confident, proactive, and capable of taking responsibility for delivering a project from handover through to completion.
