Infleqtion Project Manager Position
Infleqtion is a global quantum technology company solving the world's most challenging problems. The company harnesses quantum mechanics to build and integrate quantum computers, sensors, and networks. From fundamental physics to leading edge commercial products, Infleqtion enables "quantum everywhere" through our ecosystem of devices and platforms. Our mission is to commercialise atom-based quantum products that provide orders of magnitude improvements in performance and computing applications.
Infleqtion has offices in the USA, United Kingdom and Australia. This is a full-time position in our Kidlington, Oxford office. Work from home permitted up to 2 days per week based on business needs and manager approval.
Position Summary
Infleqtion UK's newly hired Project Manager will coordinate people and processes to ensure that our projects are delivered on time and produce the desired results. You will be the go-to person for everything involving a project's organisation and timeline.
Job Responsibilities

- Translate business needs and requirements into actionable project plans with deliverables and milestones
- Coordinate internal resources, external partners and suppliers to ensure the successful delivery of projects
- Ensuring that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
- Developing project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
- Ensure appropriate resource allocation and availability throughout the project lifecycle
- Develop a detailed project plan to track progress
- Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule and costs
- Execute projects in accordance with the Infleqtion Product Lifecycle
- Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques
- Provide regular project reporting and escalate risks or issues to management as required
- Build and maintain effective relationships with customers and key stakeholders
- Perform proactive risk management to identify, mitigate and monitor project risks
- Establish and maintain relationships with third parties and vendors
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
- Lead project reviews with customers and Infleqtion leadership

Requirements
- A minimum of five years' experience managing technical, engineering or research projects
- A degree in Engineering, Physics, Computer Science or another STEM discipline is preferred
- A strong technical background, with knowledge of or experience in the quantum technology sector, is highly desirable but not essential
- Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools
- APM / PRINCE II certification or similar project management qualification
- Excellent organisational skills, with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple complex tasks simultaneously
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences
- Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams where engagement and participation are essential to success
- Experience managing government-funded R&D programmes (e.g. Innovate UK, ESA or Horizon Europe) is desirable
Travel
Up to 10% travel, including international travel, may be required
Working Conditions And Physical Requirements
Work will normally be performed in an office and laboratory environment. Able to efficiently use automated office equipment such as laptops, copiers, and printers; able to effectively engage in communications (via phone, computer, or in-person). Will involve sitting, standing, walking, lifting, and carrying up to 10 kg.
