Project Manager – Office Fit-Out

Duration: 3 months

Rate: £320 per day

Type: Freelance

Sphere Solutions are currently looking for an experienced Project Manager to oversee an office fit-out project in Dundee.

The successful candidate will take responsibility for the overall delivery of the project, managing the programme, subcontractors, client relationships, and project team to ensure the works are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Taking overall responsibility for the successful delivery of the office fit-out project.
  • Managing the project from commencement through to completion and handover.
  • Developing and monitoring the project programme, ensuring key milestones are achieved.
  • Managing subcontractors, suppliers, and the wider project team.
  • Liaising with the client, consultants, and project stakeholders.
  • Monitoring project costs and ensuring works are delivered within budget.
  • Managing procurement and coordinating materials and resources.
  • Reviewing and managing project documentation, RAMS, and health & safety requirements.
  • Monitoring quality and ensuring works are completed to specification.
  • Identifying and resolving project issues, risks, and delays.
  • Chairing progress meetings and providing regular project updates.
  • Managing snagging, completion, and final handover.

  • Proven experience as a Project Manager within commercial or office fit-out.
  • Strong project management and subcontractor management experience.
  • Experience managing projects from start through to completion.
  • Strong understanding of construction programmes, costs, and project delivery.
  • Excellent communication and client management skills.
  • SMSTS and relevant CSCS qualification.
  • Ability to work independently and take full ownership of project delivery.
