Project Manager

MCS Group is delighted to be working with a fast-growing engineering business to recruit an experienced Project Manager to join its expanding team. (4 day working week)

This is an excellent opportunity to take ownership of manufacturing projects from initial concept through design, build, installation and final customer acceptance.

The Role

You will manage the full project lifecycle, working closely with engineering, automation and mechanical build teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the required technical standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing manufacturing projects from concept to completion
  • Developing project schedules, resource plans and delivery roadmaps
  • Managing budgets, forecasting, cost control and project performance
  • Leading design reviews and identifying technical and operational risks
  • Managing customer expectations and providing regular project updates
  • Resolving technical and operational issues throughout the project lifecycle

The Person

You will ideally have:

  • Experience managing complex engineering, manufacturing or technical projects
  • A strong engineering or technical background
  • Excellent planning, organisation and stakeholder management skills
  • Excellent communication and customer-facing skills
  • An Engineering qualification, PRINCE2/PMP or Lean/Six Sigma experience would be advantageous.
