Project Manager (Civil Engineering / Infrastructure)
South Wales
£70,000 - £80,000 per annum depending on experience + Package
A leading civil engineering and infrastructure contractor is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join its growing team in South Wales.
This is an excellent opportunity for a driven construction professional to take ownership of major civil engineering projects, including highways, junction improvements, infrastructure upgrades, and public realm works, ensuring delivery is achieved safely, on time, and within budget.
The Role
As Project Manager, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of projects from pre-construction through to completion. You will lead site teams, manage subcontractors, liaise with clients and stakeholders, and oversee programme, commercial, and operational performance.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full lifecycle of civil engineering and infrastructure projects
- Develop and maintain project programmes, budgets, and resource plans
- Lead multidisciplinary teams, subcontractors, and suppliers
- Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget
- Monitor project progress and produce regular reports for stakeholders
- Manage client relationships and act as the primary point of contact
- Oversee procurement of materials, plant, and subcontractors
- Manage project risks, variations, and change control processes
- Drive quality standards and compliance with HSEQ procedures
- Chair project meetings and coordinate activities across all project disciplines

Requirements
- Proven Project Management experience within civil engineering, infrastructure, highways, or construction
- Strong understanding of project delivery, programme management, and commercial controls
- Experience managing budgets, subcontractors, and client relationships
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
- Strong understanding of health and safety legislation and site compliance
- Full UK Driving Licence
