Project Manager – Greater London – On Site – Permanent 37.5 hours per week – £35,000 - £45,000
Our client is an award-winning UK construction and property consultancy with a collaborative, people-focused culture where employees are encouraged to contribute ideas and have their voices heard. Our client is looking for an Assistant Project Manager to join its growing London team, supporting the delivery of construction and property projects across sectors including residential, commercial, education, healthcare and life sciences.
Working alongside experienced Project Managers and senior leadership, you will support projects throughout the full lifecycle, from initial briefing and planning through to delivery and post-construction. The position will involve project reporting, progress monitoring, change tracking, research, documentation and regular communication with clients, contractors and design teams.
This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious construction professional with around two years' relevant experience who wants to develop their project management career within a recognised consultancy. Our client offers exposure to projects ranging from approximately £1m to £300m in value, alongside structured career progression and support towards professional qualifications and chartership.

The Key Responsibilities of an Assistant Project Manager:
- Carrying out background research, gathering data and undertaking benchmarking activities.
- Assisting with the delivery of services in line with agreed project processes and systems.
- Supporting the preparation of project reports and associated documentation.
- Tracking project progress and recording key performance measures and indicators.
- Monitoring and maintaining records of project changes.
- Helping to prepare written communications and materials relating to project activity.
- Assisting with the preparation of formal progress updates and other project reports.
- Maintaining clear and professional communication with clients, contractors and design teams.
- Assisting with the planning and coordination of corporate events.
- Ensuring company literature and materials are regularly reviewed and kept up to date.
Key Skills Required:
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage time and priorities effectively.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications.
- Experienced in using Microsoft Project for project planning and management.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- Confident communicator with the ability to build and maintain professional relationships with clients and colleagues.
- Adaptable and results-focused, with the ability to manage a varied and changing workload.
- Strong attention to detail, with experience proofreading and editing documents to ensure grammatical accuracy and consistently high standards.
- Educated to degree level in a relevant discipline, or possessing an equivalent qualification.
- Professional qualification preferred, or a clear ambition to achieve chartered status through a recognised body such as APM, CIOB or RICS.
