Join an ambitious space technology business delivering cutting-edge satellite missions for a diverse international customer base
With an exciting pipeline of constellation programmes and growing production capability, this is a company at the forefront of the UK’s thriving space sector.
As Senior Project Manager, you’ll lead satellite missions from contract award right through to launch, in-orbit commissioning and operational acceptance. You’ll be the main customer contact and the driving force behind delivery, leading teams across engineering, operations, commercial and supply chain.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Leading space and ground segment projects through the full mission lifecycle
- Owning project schedules, risks, deliverables, technical maturity gates and earned value management
- Leading and motivating the core project team day to day
- Breaking work into work packages and agreeing resources with engineering leads
- Running major project reviews that unlock customer payment milestones
- Managing project finances, including contingency, cost to complete and margin
- Acting as the key contact for customers and senior internal stakeholders
- Supporting bids with cost packs and programmatic input

What You’ll Bring
- Proven experience setting up, running and delivering satellite projects (constellation experience ideal)
- Strong customer-facing experience and a solid track record of implementing contracts
- Confidence with risk registers, commercial terms and product assurance plans
- Ability to translate technical issues into schedule and cost impacts
- Strong MS Project skills, plus Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Experience in matrix organisations and work package systems (preferred)
- A degree in engineering or a technical discipline (preferred)
- Excellent leadership, communication and negotiation skills
