NHS Experienced Project Manager (non IT) Wanted for Quality Non Initiative Program of Work

Working as part of the NHS on a quality initiative program. Must have experience working as a project manager (non IT) on delivering quality initiative.
Description
Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day delivery of activities, ensuring programme sessions and related activities run smoothly, meet agreed timelines and provide a high-quality experience for participating sites.
- Coordinate delivery partner inputs and outputs, maintaining clear communication, tracking progress and supporting partners to deliver their commitments effectively.
- Monitor participant uptake, engagement and Trust-level progress, identifying where additional support or follow-up is needed to maintain momentum across the programme.
- Lead the programme's structured peer-learning and capability-building approaches, including communities of practice, action learning sets and quality improvement focused sessions with NHS senior leaders.
- Act as a key operational point of contact for programme participants and delivery partners, resolving day-to-day delivery issues and escalating sensitive, complex or wider risks to the Senior Implementation Programme Manager where required.
- Lead the collection and analysis of programme delivery data, Trust-level progress information and stakeholder feedback, using insight to support reporting, inform operational decisions, and identify opportunities for programme planning, resourcing and continuous improvement.
- Monitor programme activity delivery against agreed budget parameters, supporting budget oversight and escalating variances or emerging pressures to the Senior Implementation Programme Manager.

Profile
Experience managing complex health, public sector or implementation programmes across multiple organisations, with evidence of delivery against agreed timelines, milestones and objectives.
- Strong project management skills, including planning, delivery tracking, risk and dependency management, and use of project management tools and systems.
- Experience delivering health equity, anti-racism or equality-related initiatives within the NHS or healthcare setting, supported by strong knowledge of relevant policy, practice and service delivery challenges.
- Demonstrated skill in influencing and negotiating to achieve outcomes, building credible working relationships with senior stakeholders (e.g., NHS executives, public sector leaders) without direct authority.
- Ability to monitor participant engagement, progress and operational risks, identifying support needs and escalating issues appropriately.
- Experience supporting or leading peer-learning, capability-building, action learning sets or similar structured learning activities across multiple organisations.
- Experience analysing programme delivery data, progress information and stakeholder feedback to support reporting, decision-making and continuous improvement.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with confidence acting as a key operational contact for participants, partners and senior stakeholders.
- Experience monitoring activity against agreed budget or cost parameters, escalating variances or emerging pressures appropriately.
- Experience line-managing or supervising staff, including providing direction, support and day-to day performance management.
- Willingness and ability to travel across England to support programme delivery.
